Lauren Hiles | Co-Owner of Coastal Styling Studio & Owner of CoVa Styling
Lauren Hiles, aka @coastalstyling_lauren, is the Co-Owner and Founder of Coastal Styling Studio and the proud owner of her new private salon, CoVa Styling. She has been in the hair industry since 2006, earning her cosmetology training from Rudy and Kelly Academy. Lauren is passionate about continuous education and has advanced her skills through classes with Unite, Wella, Scruples, Keratin Complex, Brazilian Blowout, and by attending premier events like Premier Orlando and the International Beauty Show in New York.
Lauren’s expertise in extensions is backed by certifications with Bellami Hair Pro, where she trained in all extension methods, and the HABIT Salon Extension Method, specializing in hand-tied and beaded weft extensions. She even traveled to Dallas, Texas, for advanced two-day extension training to perfect her craft.
Lauren first opened her own salon in 2009, successfully running it for three years before stepping back during her second pregnancy in 2012. Now, she’s thrilled to own and operate CoVa Styling, a private suite offering a personalized, luxurious experience. She is also excited to continue collaborating with her business partner and fellow stylist, Lydia Shaffer, at Coastal Styling Studio.
Lauren specializes in lived-in color, blondes, and extensions, with a commitment to helping clients achieve their dream hair.

Lydia Shaffer | Co-Owner of Coastal Styling Studio
Lydia Shaffer aka @glamstylist_lydia Is Co-Owner/Founder and Stylist at Coastal Styling Studio. Lydia received the foundation of her education at Rudy and Kelly Academy a Paul Mitchell Partner School in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2007. Upon graduating, she built a solid clientele quickly and began specializing in many types of hair extensions. Lydia trained with Unite Professional in Richmond, Virginia in 2010 as an educator. She has worked on site throughout Hampton Roads doing many weddings and photoshoots. It has been her dream to have her own salon one day and is excited to finally have one with her business partner and fellow stylist Lauren Hiles. Lydia is a JZstyles certified stylist and she specializes in color, balayage, and hair extensions.
